Danny's website describes him as 80s flavored folk-pop. I described him as FREAKING GENIUS. His music is both fun (“Passover” actually samples the melody to the Four Questions...hello!?! Genius.) and sad (“Bushwick” is by far my favorite track). His style is clean and sweet and consistent throughout the album but each song has a distinct personality.

“Japanese Satellites” is a sonically-cohesive body of work that...brings together the past and the present, reviving the old-school charm of 70's and 80's rock music and combining them with modern lyrical sensibilities... [and] a live, organic sound... Katz proves himself to be a gifted songwriter and storyteller with Satellites. In his straightforward but forthcoming lyrics, [he] appeals not only to our taste for old-school rock but also to our innate ability to find humor in our lives and our relationships.

I realize that not all TransFans will like this music..some won't even get it. But, I think it's pure genius and great fun. Your parents( Weird Al and David B.) should be very proud of you :)

Indie at it's finest!!
This is an awesome album from a totally awesome singer/songwriter. Multi-talented, it blows my mind! Definitely see him live...maybe he'll do a medley of 80's cartoon theme songs for you. GO DANNY!!

The lyrics are sometimes humorous... the music hits the spot making for... thoroughly catchy [songs]. Beautiful, is the only word I can think of. Danny has his own way of attracting attention to his music, and it's something that everyone should take the time to listen to, no matter what they're into. His sound is almost comparable to "Oldies" sounding music, no matter what he does it just sounds good.

[The] music is vibrant, the lyrics are mocking, the genre is 21st century, but it has a mellowness that is just very pleasant to listen to. We can only look forward to what comes next from this brilliant young man.
